ISLAMABAD: Barrister Farogh Nasim, counsel for former military ruler Pervez Musharraf has said that special court has rejected a plea submitted to start trial case since 1956.
Nasim was talking to media after today’s hearing of high treason case against Musharraf in Islamabad.
He said that the case has been initiated on inquiry report of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and they requested the court to provide the copy of the investigative report to defence lawyers.
On a query regarding Mutahida Quami Movement Chief Alftaf hussian arrival to country, he said he did not know about the arrival, adding that if he shows willingness to come in the country then the MQM activists will advise him not to come in the country due to security reasons.
Musharraf counsel said it was not appropriate for prosecution lawyer Akram Shiekh to talk about Altaf hussain during the proceedings of the case.
