KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon revealed today that there is no Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker in police custody.
“The Inspector General Police has said that no MQM’s worker is in police custody,” he said.
He further said that Sindh IGP has already set up a committee to track down MQM’s missing workers.
Talking to media persons after a Sindh Assembly session marred by MQM protest, Memon dispelled the impression that any particular party was being targeted in Karachi’s targeted operation,
“It is a wrong perception that any specific party or people are the target of operation,” The information minister defended the operation, saying that it is effective and has produced positive results.
“It is easy to make claims of extra-judicial killing, but it is harder to prove,” Memon added.
