ISLAMABAD: The South Korean Premier Chung Hongwon on Sunday arrived in Islamabad on an official four-day visit to Pakistan.
The Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had invited his counterpart Hongwon to visit the country which he accepted.
Since establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1983, this is the first ever visit of South Korean Prime Minister to Pakistan.
South Korean premier four day visit includes meeting with Pakistani counterpart and President Mamnoon Hussain. Moreover delegation level talks will also be held.
Board of Investment Pakistan and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion agency has jointly organized Korea Pakistan Investment cooperation forum where Korean PM will be the Chief Guest on April 14.
During his stay in Pakistan he will visit Shakkar Pariyan to plant a sapling and meet Korean community members in Pakistan. He will visit National Monument in Islamabad as well.
The visit has prime importance as it will strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
Many South Korean companies are taking part in investment in various projects which includes chemical industry, hydel and thermal power and infrastructure projects.
