Raipur: At least 12 people have been killed including poll officials and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men in twin attacks by Maoists in Chhattisgarh here on Saturday.
According to Indian media, the first attack took place in Bijapur district where the bus was hit by a landmine blast in which at least five poll officials were killed. The driver and helper of the bus were also killed, three others were injured.
In another attack, Maoists triggered a landmine blast at Darbha hitting 7 CRPF men who were travelling in an ambulance after sanitising route for a polling party.
