LAHORE: Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf termed current board head Najam Sethi’s claim regarding the Big Four arrangement offer as baseless.
The former PCB chairman said that Indian board once offered him a role in the Big Three plan but provided no guarantees and soon took back the offer.
Earlier current PCB chairman Najam Sethi claimed that the International Cricket Council (ICC)’s Big Three panel invited Pakistan to enter it to make a bigger ‘Big Four’ panel.
Sethi claimed that the Zaka Ashraf (then PCB head) refused the offer and harmed the country’s cricketing interests as accepting the offer would have meant greater share in revenue and say in tour arrangements.
While Zaka Ashraf also said that Pakistan cricket team’s major problem is grouping, which should be taken care of.
