SYLHET: Netherlands has broken the most sixes record of world champion team Australia after hitting the 19 sixes against Ireland in the last qualifying round match of World Twenty20 at Sylhet stadium in Bangladesh.
Before this, Australia had made the 18 sixes record against England at Southampton in August 2013.
Netherlands opener batsman Stephan Myburgh made second fastest half-century off 16 balls after hitting most seven sixes and 4 fours against Irish bowlers.
Netherlands and Ireland set another record after hitting the 30 sixes in innings match while Australia and India had made the 24 sixes record on May 7, 2010 in Bridgetown.
