Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday has summoned a high-level meeting to discuss the issues of national security, internal affairs and latest development regarding talks with Taliban.
According to reports, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Chief of General Staff Lt. General Ashfaq Nadeem and DG ISI Lt. General Zaheer-ul-Islam, chief ministers of all four provinces and the federal cabinet members will participate in the meeting.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and DG ISI will brief and take into confidence the political and military leadership over the on-going issues in the country.
According to sources, the meeting will also discuss the dialogue process with Taliban and will make a future road map.
The sources further said that the meeting will take some important decision in today’s meeting regarding National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), new-raised Quick Response Force (QRF) and other different matters.
