ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has approved a new plan for security of Islamabad and a reform program for National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Sunday, media reported.
Rangers have been given an additional responsibility in this program so that people of Islamabad could enjoy utmost security.
Chaudhry Nisar chaired a high level meeting with Chairman Nadra, DG FIA, Commandant Rangers and top Islamabad police officials to discuss the security of Islamabad and also changes in NADRA.
People would start noticing changes in Islamabad from 15 April, Nisar said.
The government would provide extra funds required to execute the new security plan, Interior Minister guaranteed.
He gave orders to purchase new vehicles and also to hire retired army men for the training purpose of police. Interior Minister was briefed about the current situation of the city from relevant personnel.
