SYDNEY: Australian team has worried about the toe injury of its fast bowler Mitchell Johnson before the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.
Johnson suffered in toe injury during the third and last Test match against South Africa in Cape Town.
Cricket Australia says a final decision is yet to be made on Johnson’s availability but his departure to Bangladesh may be delayed.
According to Fox Sports report, the infection is severe and Johnson has already been ruled out of the tournament and could miss up to a month of action.
CA’s chief medical officer says the 32-year-old will continue to be monitored over the coming days.
