Washington: HTC’s highly anticipated smartphone HTC M8 leaked again in FCC listing coming to all major carriers in the US.
As we get closer to the expected launch of HTC’s 2014 flagship smartphone, excitement is building up and more information comes to light.
The handset has so far been referred to as the HTC M8, the HTC One 2, the All New HTC One, the HTC One 2014 M8, and more. The official name of the device is not confirmed at this point.
After seeing leaked images of the phone with AT&T and Verizon brandings, an early listing from a reputable UK retailer, a hands-on video look, and many other leaks and reports, the latest news now reveals an FCC listing for the purported device.
The much-rumored HTC M8 has just cleared the FCC, which means that it’s edging closer to an official release. The FCC listing offers details on several variants for the handset, as well as carrier model numbers. By the looks of it, the HTC One successor will be available on all four major carriers in the U.S., not just AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
The filing offers connectivity details, listing six different models of the HTC M8, with support for various bands. An international variant with model number NM80P6B100 will support 4G LTE on band 7, which is used in regions such as Asia and Europe.
The next four models listed, meanwhile, are U.S. carrier versions that support different LTE bands. The AT&T variant has model number NM80P6B120, the Verizon one is NM80P6B200, Sprint’s model is NM80P6B700, while T-Mobile’s version comes with model number NM80P6B160.
The sixth version listed comes with model number NM80P6B130 and support for 4G LTE bands 4 and 17, which are typically used by regional carriers in the U.S.
While this is not an official unveiling, the FCC filing does suggest that the HTC One successor is ready to debut soon. HTC is expected to take the wraps off its 2014 flagship smartphone later this month, at an event on March 25. We’ll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as we learn more, so stay tuned.
