ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s MNA Dr. Farooq Sattar has said that terrorists and extremists don’t want peace in Karachi and both are jointly responsible and collaborators in destroying provincial capital’s peaceful face.
While expressing his views in National Assembly today, he severely criticised government’s decision to hold talks with the banned Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) by saying that his party can only pray for talks with militants who most recently bombed Ranger’s headquarters in Karachi.
He warned that terrorists are weakened and all this talks business will only give them time to re-group and attack the country again.
Dr. Sattar said that if these terrorists ever wanted talks, they would have been at the table by now.
Meanwhile, MQM’s Rabita Committee has also backed their MNA’s statement by repeating his stance in a detailed statement issued this evening.
