ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has chaired a high-level session to discuss the law and order situation of the country after holding meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday.
This high level meeting was held in Prime Minster House in Islamabad and attended by the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Defence Minister Khuwaja Asif, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and top military officials Including COAS Gen. Raheel Sharif and Director General (DG) Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Zaheer ul Islam.
On the event, the DG ISI briefed the internal security issues of the country and national security and actions against terrorist in details.
The session condemned the blast occurred at Bannu, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Mastung, Karachi and decided to establish rigorous intelligence system for countering the terrorism.
PM Sharif directed the officials for intelligence sharing amongst all provinces for ensuring security in border areas.
