MELBOURNE: Sydney Thunders has won their first T20 in the league table after defeating Melbourne Renegades on January, 14 at Docklands Stadium.
Melbourne Renegades opted bat first after winning the toss against Sydney Thunder. Renegades had set the target of 104 runs losing all wickets in 18.3 overs.
Thunders replied aggressively to Renegades bowlers at its home ground and had achieved the target after losing one wickets in 11.3 overs.
Thunders opener batsmen Usman Khawaja and Tillakaratne Dilshan set the winning 89 runs of partnership against Renegades.
Gurinder Sandhu got the ‘Man of the Match’ taking 3 important wickets of Skipper Aeron Finch, Alex Doolan and Peter Nevill.
Sydney Thunder has won so far just one Twenty20 match in the seven matches in the Big Bash League.
