PESHAWAR: Moderate earthquake have been recorded on Tuesday (today) in several areas of the Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province.
Earth quake of 5.0 magnitude on Richter Scale jolts several areas including Swat, Chitral, Malakand, Diamer, Kohistan and several other parts of KPK, according to Met Department.
The local met department said that the epicenter of the quake was Hindu Kush mountanous region of Afghanistan while its depth was 70 km inside the land.
It should be mentioned that the nearest region from Pakistan’s KPK province is Turkmenistan where 5.1 magnitude earthquake was felt, according to US Geological Survey.
The US Geological earthquake also released the particulars the earthquake which is 40.385°N 52.910°E depth=52.2km (32.4mi).

No loss of life or property has so far been reported from any part of Pakistan. However, locals of KPK and Gilgil-Balistan came out of their houses in panic.
