Lahore: Acting chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi on Wednesday has said that Pakistan has serious reservation on security conditions in Bangladesh and it was still not decided whether the team will participate in the Asia Cup or not.
He was talking to media at Lahore Airport while he was going to Dubai for participation in the International Cricket Council session.
He said that initially Sri Lanka also showed reservation to play in Bangladesh due the ruined political situation of the country but later it agreed and now will go to Bangladesh straight after the third Test match against Pakistan.
Sethi said that due to strong hold of India, Asian Cricket Council has announced to conduct the tournament whether Pakistan will play or not.
The PCB security officer is going to Bangladesh for checking the security arrangements and Pakistan will only play the tournament with the permission of foreign office, Sethi added.
He further said that Pakistan reservations regarding the turmoil political situation was justified as West Indies also cancelled its tour to Bangladesh.
