Washington: Samsung officially announced its highly anticipated largest tablet of the company 12.2 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro.
Samsung is expected to announce the device at CES 2014 Las Vagas. South Korean company also added new TV, Samsung unveiled the U9000 and U8550 Ultra High Definition Televisions. The U9000 features a curved display panel, whereas the U8550 sports a flat display panel.
The biggest and most high-end tablet in Samsung’s Galaxy Tab series, and apart from the lack of an S Pen and any stylus-related features, it’s pretty much identical to the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The display is a 12.2-inch unit of 2,560×1,600 resolution, and the back of the tablet is covered by Samsung’s faux leather material, which we’re seeing on almost every new Samsung device (as an answer to the constant complaints against plastic.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 features Exynos 5 Octa processor clocked at 1.9GHz (quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor on the LTE model), 3 GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 32/64GB of storage expandable via microSD card, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS + GLONASS connectivity, IR blaster, and a 9,500 mAh battery.
It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, and thankfully, a recent apps button has replaced the menu button that’s been a hallmark of Samsung’s devices since the last few years.
