KARACHI: The star all-rounder of Pakistani cricket team, ‘Boom Boom’ Shahid Afridi, has recovered his batting performance in light of a prominent error spotted by the bowling coach Muhammad Akram.
The Pakistani bowling coach Muhammad Akram pointed out a curious mistake on the pitch while batting against the opponent’s bowlers which becomes fruitful for Shahid Afridi’s batting form.
According to reports, Akram observed unnecessary moves of Afridi on the crease making difficulties to him from proper and powerful hits on the balls, however, Boom Boom now avoiding the extra movement on the pitch leading towards betterment.
While talking with the Express newspaper, the star batsman credited his restoration of batting form to the bowling coach and revealed that Muhammad Akram recommends him to make body still while playing the shots.
Afridi refutes the reports regarding differences in the cricket team, clarified that he returned to Pakistan due to ailment of his daughter.
Besides spending time with his family, the star all-rounder aimed for hard training session in order to be prepared for upcoming Asia Cup and World Twenty20 tournaments.
Earlier on December 11, Boom Boom had made another record of completing 1000 runs and 50 wickets in first Twenty20match against Sri Lanka after giving an allround performance.
Shahid Afridi, after a long period of dismay in the ground, has completed his 1000 runs in the short format of cricket. He has already taken over 50 wickets in the T20.
After achieving the milestone, he has become the first cricketer to have over 1000 runs and 50 wickets on his credit.
Afrid has so far taken 73 wickets in 69 matches besides scoring 1016 runs in the T20 format.
