KARACHI: The 30th Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ebad, is going to set historical record amongst the Pakistan politicians by completing his 11 years tenure on the top provincial post on Friday (tomorrow).
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) affiliated politician, Dr. Ishratul Ebad, also held the title of ‘Youngest Governor of Province’ when he was appointed on the post in December 27 of 2007.
Dr. Ishratul Ebad will now become the ‘Longest Serving Governor’ in the history of Pakistan.
The Pakistan’s Federal Government had also honoured him with the country’s highest title, Nishan-e-Imtiaz, during the tenure of former President Asif Ali Zardari in view of his visible services as the Governor of Sindh.
Ongoing Governor of Sindh had succeeded the Muhammad Mian Soomro, who was appointed on May 25 in 2000, followed by his resignation from the post on December 26 of 2002.
