Karachi: A remote-controlled bomb blast near the Rangers’ parked mobile at Landhi here, which resulted in injuries to seven personnel on duty.
According to details, a Rangers’ vehicle stopped near a garbage dump located in Swat Colony situation in Landhi, when suddenly a blast occurred.
According to Rangers sources, that nine people have been injured including seven Rangers personnel in the explosion, identified as Maqbool, Shahnawaz, Anwar, Panu Khan and Pendi Khan. The injured personnel have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital, where they were said to be out of danger.
Following the incident, a heavy contingent of rangers besieged the area and the services of experts have been called for in order to ascertain the nature of the explosion.
Law-enforcement agencies including rangers and police cordon off the area and started operation against the suspects.
