ISLAMABAD: Pakistani news channels commenced campaign against the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan over the ‘discrimination’ amongst the media groups and allowing only one private channel ‘GEO TV’ for coverage on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan faced severe criticism from the media channels over disallowing them from the coverage of full court reference event.
The outgoing Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and new CJ Tasadduq Hussain Sadiq have to address on the event.
The media coverage permission was given to only one private channel while other news channel even a governmental channel, Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), failed to enter in the cover the event.
All representatives of media channels are demanding the new Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Sadiq for suo-moto action over the issue.
