PORT ELIZABETH: International record of playing matches against same teams has been snatched by the Pakistan and South Africa following last fight in ODI series.
Green Shirts and Proteas have played most number of games against each other upto 23 while previous record was held by Australia and West Indies in 1984 by playing 22 matches.
The record is being maintained under the matches played in a calendar year, however, it is captured by the teams playing ongoing One Day International (ODI) series in South Africa.
It should be mentioned that Pakistan lead the three-matches ODI series with 2-0 after winning the second match played at St George’s Park stadium at Port Elizabeth.
