Islamabad: Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry on Friday said that police were the responsible to maintain law and order situation during Ashura procession and if they were eligible, the incident would not have happened.
A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is hearing the case regarding Lawyers Torture Case and Rawalpindi Tragedy.
The CJ made comments said that CPO was not at the city on November 15 during Ashura procession.
