Karachi: Ban on pillion riding has been imposed by Sindh government for 24 hours to maintain law and order situation ahead of protest against Rawalpindi tragedy on Friday.
According to details, the ban has been imposed to ensure security in Karachi as different religious groups have announced that they will stage protest demonstrations in Karachi on Friday against Rawalpindi tragedy.
Transporters have said that they would consider the situation before bringing their transport on roads.
A similar ban was imposed earlier in the city on Muharram 9 and 10 to address security concerns.
On a police request, the ban was then extended for two days. On another request, it was prolonged for two more.
