ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar claimed that federal government has planned to add 8500 megawatts of electricity in the National Grid in next year.
Pakistani Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate civil-nuclear technology project for generating 2001 MW electricity in this month.
While talking to media, he said that Diamer-Bhasha dam has significant importance for Pakistan just like the issue of life and death.
Dar revealed that the World Bank ensured providing $7 billion for the Diamer-Bhasha dam while rest of $3 million will be collected from other sources.
Dar detailed the collection sources of 8500 MW electricity on completion of several power projects in next year with respect to its capability include 6600 MW from coal power plants, 425 MW from Nandipur, 969 from Neelum Jhelum and 2001 from civil-nuclear.
