ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Minister of Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique has signalled for restoration of trade operations via carriage trains between Pakistan and Turkey in December.
The announcement was made after Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan S. Babar Hizlan’s meeting with the railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique in Islamabad.
While detailing the upcoming carriage train project, Rafique said the railway link between Islamabad to Istanbul would be the perfect example of brotherhood and trade cooperation.
He revealed that the Pakistan Railways has made an upgration plan for Quetta-Taftan railway track and Turkish companies will be welcomed for investments.
The minister added that Pakistan would provide strong trade and economic link via railways’ department for fast import and export procedures.
Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Pakistani training academies will also be motivated for adopting modern railway techniques and equipments by the ally country’s departments.
