ISLAMABAD: Pakistan after the killing of Tehreek e Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud said that no hurdle in peace dialogue accepted.
He said that despite the recent attacks, the government is still willing to have dialogue with Taliban.
In a statement, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that the government is determined to hold talks with Taliban despite recent drone attack in North Waziristan. He said that Pakistan condemns the recent drone strikes that killed TTP’s Hakimullah Mehsud.
Rasheed said that the government does not want any hindrance in the dialogue process with the insurgents. The minister further stated that the government would take steps against those elements who want to obstruct the negotiation process.
The government is facing troubles soon after start of the dialogue process, he admitted.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, claimed yesterday that the strikes were aimed at sabotaging efforts for establishing peace in the country. “A delegation was about to be sent to talk to Taliban tomorrow (Saturday),” he said.
