KARACHI: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Malik Baloch on Sunday admitted the government failure over the missing persons’ issue and said the matter is still a challenge to his government, The News tribe reported.
Addressing to a meet the press at the Karachi Press Club, Abdul Malik said the law and order situation in Balochistan is improving gradually but still need to be improved.
He wanted to ensure that the police and levies were standing on their own feet.CM Balochistan said FC check posts in Quetta had been decreased by 50 percent.
The chief minister further said that Rs 40-Rs 50 billion were required for the rehabilitation of people who affected by earthquake in the province.
According to the Balochistan chief minister, there was a lack of government in some areas of the province and he hoped this would be established soon.
Dr Malik said he wants to resolve problems of Balochistan by holding talks with Brahamdagh Bugti.
Answering to a query, he said that he made no contact with Brahamdagh Bugti, but he was willing to meet him.
The chief minister stressed on the need to develop friendly ties with neighboring countries for the sake of Balochistan and the country.
