ISLAMABAD: Final warning has been issued to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on violation of contract’s regulations following orders of the state ministry of water and power on Tuesday.
The State Ministry of Water and Power has sent warning the largest electricity supplier of the metropolis, Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), in order to confirm implementation of rules and regulation according to the contract finalised with government.
Governmental sources revealed the federal authorities has started considering for a review in contract with the Karachi’s largest electricity supplier company.
According to the warning, the state minister ordered the related authorities to disconnect electricity supply to KESC on violation of rules.
Earlier on October 4, Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali warned the company for supply disconnection if the power utility took even a single megawatt in excess of the allowed electricity of 650 mw.
The state minister also said that power is being stolen worth of Rs242 billions across the country and vowed for a forceful action against power thieves.
