PESHAWAR: Terrorists carried out a hand-grenade attack on a home on Thursday in Peshawar, the provincial capital of the Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, local media reported.
The incident took place at a home located in Nishtarabad area of the city where unidentified terrorists threw grenade and fled from the location.
Police sources have confirmed the attack while rescue teams also reached at the site, however, no casualty reported till yet.
Contingents of police officials have cordoned off the area for commencing a search operation to find out the culprits.
It should be mentioned that Pakistani government has entered in the initial phase for starting a peace dialogue with the militants organisation, simultaneously, the number of attacks increased across KPK provinces.
In previous two deadly incidents of explosions including All Saints’ Church bombing and blast at Qissa Khawani market of Peshawar, the banned militants’ outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had rejected any involvement in both attacks.
On the other hand, some politicians claimed that some external and anti-state elements are now trying to sabotage the event of peace dialogue between Pakistani government and Taliban by carrying out such attacks.
