NEW YORK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Malala Yousufzai would be appointed as the Ambassador of Education of Pakistan.
He was talking with self-exiled female student of Pakistan who was reportedly attacked by extremists in the northwest province of the country. The talk held as PM met with Gordon Brown, the special envoy for Global Education of United States.
“My government considers promotion of education at all levels imperative for realizing socio-economic development of Pakistan,” he told the former British Prime Minister.
The Pakistan premier lays out four dimensions of the future education system of the country including knowledge economy, creativity, critical thinking and innovation.
He also attended a meeting on “Education for All” hosted by Gordon Brown.
On the occasion, Malala welcomes increase in education budget of the country but stressing on further expenditure in this regard.
