KARACHI: Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have arrested more than 100 accused during raids in different areas of Karachi and Hyderabad, The News Tribe’s correspondent reported.
According to sources rangers took action against criminals on intelligence reports in Mochko, Lyari, Al Karam Square, P&T colony and other areas of Karachi and arrested more than 100 accused.
Different kinds of heavy weapons and large quantity of ammunition recovered from possession of accused, sources said.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, rangers conducted raid in the highly populated area of P&T Colony, Korangi.
“During the raid Rangers have arrested four persons including a local leader of a political party.”
TheNewsTribe’s correspondent from 2nd largest city of the province Hyderabad has added that Rangers captured three armed men in GARI KHATA area of the city and recover weapon from their possession.
Urban areas and towns in Pakistan’s southern province Sindh including Karachi are closed over the arrest of Muttahida Qaumi Moveements(MQM) former lawmaker Nadim Hyat Hashmi.
Rangers have also raided surrounding areas of North Karachi, sadder Ranchorline, Ghas mandi, Salar compound.
Rangers shifted all accused to unidentified place for further investigation.
