LAHORE: Keeping in line with the modern changes across the globe, Federal government decides to launch a new television channel for promotion of education.
The proposed channel will telecast round the clock programs for education, says Rana Mashhod Ahmed Khan.
Minister for Education of eastern province of Punjab revealed this vital step from the government while talking with with participants of a technical workshops on “Literacy in 21st Century”.
The News Tribe’s correspondent from provincal capital, Lahore, reports the minister as saying that Punjab government has planned to increase current provincial educational budget of Rs. 226 billion to Rs. 451 billion in next five years.
The proposed channel will be instrumental in achieving 86 percent literacy in next three years in the province.
