KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has demonstrated its authoritative power in an unique manner against Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Tuesday to express outrage over electricity closure.
KESC had closed electricity supply to Civic Center of Karachi, located on Hassan Square area of the metropolis, consisting central offices of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) due to non payment of dues.
KMC provided ‘rapid’ answer to the electric supply department by restricting KESC employees to enter in their offices situated in the building.
Karachi City Wardens have been deployed on the entrance gate of the Civic Center to push out the KESC employees if someone of them try to enter inside.
Panic has been raised due to the situation as a large number of KMC protesters are still gathered within the premises of the building while KESC employees terming the move as bullying act.
