KARACHI: Sindh Information and Archive Minister Sharjeel Memon refuses a lists from the law enforcing agencies comprising names of alleged terrorists.
The list is having names of many alleged terrorists; however, the list also shows many legislators of Muttahida Qaumi Movement and other political groups as the terrorists.
“The list was issued without any confirmation and it is against the privilege of Sindh Assembly,” he said in a statement while discussing Karachi lawlessness in the session of the provincial assembly.
“The list neither shows the name of signing authority nor it is attested,” he further said.
Memon added, ‘The name lists of alleged terrorists should not be broadcasted.’
Responding harshly over the list and the Sindh government’s response, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) says that house should take strict notice of such move as only condemnation will not work, the matter should be referred to the Privileges Committe.
