ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, has administered oath to new President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain, on Monday (today).
The presitigious event of oath taking held in Presidential House situated in Islamabad, where Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry administered oath to the new President Mamnoon Hussain today.
Mamnoon Hussain becomes the 12th President of Pakistan following the oath for the top post of the country while he is the 2nd President who elected through an formal electoral process.
Hussain was elected as President of Pakistan on July 30 in Presidential Election 2013 and holds office since 8 September 2013, succeeding Asif Ali Zardari, who did not seek re-election.
