KARACHI: The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) stands among the top business schools of Pakistan in the Quantitative Assessment of the Quality Enhancement Cell of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Pakistan. IoBM has obtained a total score 96.5 % for the period ending June 30, 2013.
Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the HEC assesses the progress of the Quality Enhancement Cells established in the public and private sector universities through quantitative / scorecard system.
Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the HEC felicitated IoBM on its achievement pertaining to quality enhancement and acknowledged the instrumental role of Mr. Shahjehan Karim, President IoBM and the IoBM QEC amid the guidance and supervision of Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed and Mr. Moin Ali Khan in this regard.
Besides a congenial atmosphere conducive to learning, purpose-built campus and state-of-the-art facilities the contributing factor to IoBM quality assurance has been its illustrious and distinguished faculty.
The recent examples of IoBM faculty highlighted home and abroad are Dr. Nadia Ayub, Assistant Professor and Head of Business Psychology, among the winners of the HEC best faculty award and Dr. Shahida Wizarat, HoD Economics, Director Research and Chief Editor Pakistan Business Review (PBR), winning the best paper award for her paper on “Natural Resources, Conflict and Growth: Uncovering the Transmission Mechanism” organized by Diponegoro University, Semarang, Indonesia.
