KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Wasim Akhtar has said that MQM workers can be punished if found guilty during the proposed operation in Karachi.
In his televised interview, former ruling party leader said that MQM appreciate Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior minister Chuhadry Nisar’s efforts to bring peace in Karachi.
“Intentions of all authorities on peace in the city are seem fair enough, we want unbiased operation in Karachi”.
Wasim Akhtar expressed his wish that no political party would back any terrorist.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People Party Karachi president Abdul Qadir Patel has criticized the role of a political party and said that politicians want Army in the city but don’t accept joint investigation reports prepared by Pakistan Army.
After the all parties’ conference and federal cabinet special meeting in Pakistan’s largest city Karachi about city’s peace, it was decided that targeted operation will be carried out in the city by the para military force, Rangers.
