PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has appointed 32 members of provincial assembly as parliament secretaries in order to void formation of forward blocks and disagreements between the coalition partners.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led KPK government appointed large number of parliament secretaries including MPAs from coalition political parties, independent and 10 female members.
In parliamentary secretaries, 10 persons are belonged to PTI, 5 from Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), 3 from Jamaat-e-Islami and 3 members are politically relating to Awami Jamhoori Ittehad (AJI).
The secretaries from Peshawar include Javaid Naseem, Arif Yousaf, Fazal Elahi, Mehmood Jan and Arbab Jahandad Khan. Sultan Mehmood Khan, Arshad Ali from Charsadda. Khaliq ur Rehman, Mehmood Idrees from Nowshera. Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Zahid Durrani, Ubaid Ullah Mayaar  and Tufail Anjum from Mardan. Muhammad Ali Tarkai from Swabi, Gohar Nawaz Khan from Haripur, Javed Akbar Khan from Dera Ismail Khan. Aziz Ullah, Amjab Ali and Muhib Ullah Khan from Swat. Abdul Munam from Shangla while Muhammad Ali and Saeed Gul from Deer.
In female parliament secretaries, Naseem Hayat, Nadia Sher, Ayesha Naim, Nargis, Dena Naz, BB Fauzia, Rashida Rifat, Aneesa Zeb, Tahira Kheli, Mairaj Humayun Khan and Khatoon BB were included.
Sooran Singh and Abdul Karim from minorities bench were appointed as special assistant to Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak.
Sheraz Paracha, the spokesman to CM KPK, clarified the addition of parliament secretaries by saying that the appointments are according to rules.
The number of governmental team reached up to 59 after 32 new appointments of parliamentary secretaries and 2 special assistants which breaks record of all previous governments.
By addition of an independent MPA Javed Akbar Iqbal in governmental team, now the ruling partner have successfully increased number of members up to 78 in 124 member house and now only 17 persons left without any post.
The members left without any post were already performing their duties as deadlock chairman and chairpersons.
While in previous tenures of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP), only 26 members were present in cabinet.
Moreover, Inspector General (IG) KPK directed all police officers to unveil details of all movable or immovable assets within 15 days and released an answerability form via police’s accountability committion.
According to the IG’s order, officers from the level of Stationhouse Officer (SHOs) to Inspector General (IG) will provide their complete asset details.
