KARACHI: Sindh Police has made significant move for establishment of peaceful environment in Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan, as decided activation of several departments related to anti-terrorism and anti-extortion.
The foreground decision was taken during the special meeting supervised by Chief Secretary Sindh following preparation of the planning’s presentation before Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s arrival in Karachi.
Top officials of Sindh Police and other security agencies were present in the meeting for finalising strategies to control law and order situation in the metropolis.
Sindh Police has decided activation all anti-terrorism and anti-extortion departments along with subordinates department to control target killing in the city while Stationhouse Officers (SHOs) of the areas are assigned to take actions against the criminals, sources said.
While finalising strategies for elimination of terrorism from the city, Chief Secretary Sindh claimed gaining confidence of local traders and ensured them provision of security, whereas, traders expressed deep anger over worst behaviour by police officials.
PM Nawaz Sharif likely to arrive in Karachi for chairing a meeting regarding restoration of peace in the metropolitan city and he summoned all stakeholders including Director General Inter-Services Intelligenc (DG ISI)‚ DG Intelligence Bureau (IB)‚ Director General (DG) Rangers and Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh.
