ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has upgraded prices of all petroleum products today following increase in oil prices internationally while the inflation-hit citizens expressed severe concerns on Pakistan federal government.
OGRA had sent another summary to Pakistan’s government suggesting increment in petroleum prices up to Rs4 per liter which has been imposed today after federal government approval.
However, the new prices of products on per litre are petroleum Rs.109.14, high speed diesel Rs.112.26, kerosene oil Rs.105.99, light diesel oil Rs.98.43 and high cctane Rs 138.33 rupees per liter.
Earlier, OGRA officials had suggested increament Rs. 3.15 on per liter petrol, Rs. 2.50 diesel, kerosene oil up to Rs. 3.25 and on HOCBC Rs. 4.5.
Several political parties strongly opposed the federal government decision by terming it as oppressive step against Pakistani nation while Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami National Party (ANP) announced commencement of protests on every forum.
