ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has withdrew contempt notice against Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday.
The contempt of Court case began for hearing today in which Imran Khan again stated that the word ‘shameful’ was not for apex Court. It was infact used for district returning officers rather than the supreme judiciary. He said that he or his party doesn’t want any conflict with the Supreme Court.
“It was not used in its literal sense or connotation but it was rather used in the sense or context of unbecoming and it is humbly submitted that it may kindly be so construed”.
In response, the Attorney Journal inquired would Imran Khan like his activists to term his character as ‘shameful’.
The Supreme Court dismissed the notice for the contempt case to Chairman PTI, Imran Khan. The Attorney General added that people won’t believe on any allegations upon the Supreme Courts.
In response, the cricketer turned politician and leader of PTI, Imran Khan clarified that he respects the judiciary and the district returning officers were the only one with ‘shameful’ approach. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stands on his stance.
