LAHORE: As the ruling party completes capturing all the power houses of the province, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has taken oath as the next governor of Punjab.
Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Umer Ata Bandial administered oath to him at ceremony at the spacious and luxury Governor House this morning.
Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbabz Sharif and provincial ministers were also present.
Sarwar was the first Muslim member of British parliament who had left his British nationality to take charge as the governor of the province.
“I will take all political parties along to resolve the problems of the province,” Sarward said after taking the oath and added that he would endeavour to promote soft image of the country abroad.
