ISLAMABAD: Bracing to face the supreme court on Friday, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Chairman Imran Khan decides to personally appear before the court.
The supreme court had issued him contempt of court notice following his speeches against the judiciary’s role in the elections.
Khan either has to tender apology or has to face six months jail term.
Advocate Hamid Khan will represent Imran Khan on account of contempt of court by Supreme Court of Pakistan.Â
Imran Khan has been summoned to the court on account of criticizing on election commission and judiciary.
Imran Khan has decided Hamid Khan to plea the case on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf. Hamid Khan is not only senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf but also President Supreme Court Bar Association. He has returned from United States today.
Earlier, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudry took notice on account of registrar Supreme Court and released contempt of court notice.
According to Supreme Court, Imran Khan’s press conference against judiciary and honorary judges is not acceptable. Thus notice of contempt of Court is according to Article 204 section 3.
