ISLAMABAD: United States Secretary of State John Kerry has met cricketer turned politician Imran Khan who has demanded an end on drone attacks.
In the meeting, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman briefed the secretary about PTI policy on the drone attacks in the tribal belt of the country.
“We have reservations on continuous drone attacks,” Khan told Kerry.
PTI leader also presented his party’s recommendations to bring peace in the region.
Kerry was of the view that “We also want peace in Pakistan for its progress. We welcome any suggestion regarding peace” He has already met with the prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asfhaq Parvez Kayani, Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Zaheerul Islam.
Earlier, outspoken Khan, who party has emerged as the second leading political party as far as number of votes are concerned, had refused to meet the state secretary in US embassy.
