PESHAWAR: Vowing to do something ‘extra’ if elected, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) candidate for presidential election Justice (Retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed promises to change the fate of the country.
Pakistan is going through another round of the transition of power with sitting president Asif Ali Zardari will be leaving the seat for the upcoming president.
PTI’s candidate was of the view that he would perform his role with sincerity and in an impartial way.
“I am contesting the election with a hope of changing the fate of the country,” Justice Wajih said while speaking with senior minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sirajul Haq in Peshawar.
Radio Pakistan has quoted him saying that had Pakistan People’s Party participated in the election‚ it would have strengthened democratic traditions and norms in the country.
