ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday issued bailable arrest warrants of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) managing director Mir Shah Jahan Khetran.
According to TheNewsTribe‘s correspondent from Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad, ECP summoned him three times but he did not appear before the commission. He was alleged to have taken part in the elections despite holding a public office.
The ECP ordered to arrest Shah Jahan Khetran after his violation of the three different orders to appear in front of commission.
Mir Shahjahan Kethran was the candidate of Balochistan Assembly seat as an independent contestant. According to the correspondent “no government employ can take part in elections till the retirement from its public office”.
