ISLAMABAD: Pakistan federal government has requested the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday for modification in schedule in Presidential Election 2013.
Ministry of Law & Justice has sent letter to ECP for requesting to change election schedule for president post in Pakistan.
Earlier, ECP has approved on Tuesday the date to conduct Presidential Election in Pakistan on August 6 and final results will be announced on August 7.
The law ministry described the reason for election schedule alteration in the letter that that mostly members of assemblies will be busy in Ramadan retreat and some members will not present due to Umrah prayers.
However, ECP has rejected the request for any delay in the presidential election.
