ISLAMABAD: The apex court of the country has ordered freezing of all accounts of Defense Housing Authority (DHA) till payment of Rs. 22 billion to Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI).
The Supreme Court gave directions while hearing EOBI embezzlement case this morning.
A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed to submit details of DHA accounts in the Registrar’s Office.
In earlier proceeding of the case, the court had directed to DHA officials to submit Rs. 22 billion to EOBI account, however, the DHA had disobeyed the direction.
