KARACHI: Another civilian has been killed due to alleged torture by security forces in country’s largest port city Karachi on Friday.
According to TheNewsTribe’s correspondent from Karachi، “Rangers and Police have declared each other responsible of the incident”.
Bilal alias Malla was detained under suspicion of being involved in an attack on the Rangers two days ago.
Sources confirmed that the accused Bilal was brought to the Sachal Police Station with severe injuries which led to his death in the lock-up.
Police claimed that Bilal along with three others was brought to the station by Rangers officials. DIG East has ordered an investigation into the incident.
According to the MLO report, the accused was tortured 36 hours prior to his death by being electrocuted and beaten with steel rods.
While at the same time Rangers spokesperson claimed that Bilal had been handover to the police in healthy and normal condition.
“We have documental proof of Bilal’s shifting to Police” said Ranger’s spokesperson.
