LAHORE: Former chief of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Shuja Pasha says that United States had provided wine, women and wealth to media persons to defame ISI.
In his statement to Abbottabad Commission, a private channel has reported, Pasha further said that ISI knew militants live in no-go areas of Karachi, the port city of the country.
“The same is the case of some cities in the eastern province of Punjab,” he added.
The Abbottabad commission report was leaked by Qatar-based Al Jazeera channel, which apparently purchased it from a bureaucrat at a price of $ 15,000. The report has stirred the political scene of the country, already facing a quagmire of political and lawlessness problems.
Former ISI head accepted the fact that persons were caught by law enforcement agencies, but it was done only on tips provided by police.
